“Mansions of the Lord” was originally written for the 2002 film We Were Soldiers, and was performed by the United States Military Academy Glee Club and the Metro Voices.” “Mansions of the Lord" was written by Randall Wallace [who directed the movie] and set to the music of Nick Glennie-Smith.” “The hymn also served as the recessional in the 2004 funeral of President Ronald Reagan.”
Since President Reagan’s funeral, this hymn has become a standard at military funerals, especially for those that served in the Army.

I agree. He will be missed. One might ask who is going to fill his shoes. I say they don’t make shoes like that anymore.
