Oldest living West Point grad dies at 105

Thanks MSG (Join to see) for sharing the news that retired Lt. Gen. William Ely has died at the ripe old age of 105 on Tuesday September 19. 2017 at his home in Delray Beach, Florida.
As General of the Army Douglas MacArthur stated "Old soldiers never die, they just fade away ..."
He was the last surviving member of the class of 1933.
As is fitting for this old graduate, he will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C., alongside his wife, Helen, who died in 2014.
Kudos to on retired Lt. Gen. William Ely was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army Corps of Engineers after graduating from West Point in 1933. His assignments included civil works construction, military construction and troop duty with an engineer unit.
