Just watched them on a replay of Rock Hall of Fame inductions. They were after my time but they have some loyal fans. Same with Nirvana and the rest, but they were just at a time when I was too busy with other things to notice and a different style than what I'm accustomed to. I mostly like the R&B/Blues folks like Buddie Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Clapton, and Joe Bonamassa is really good. The earlier guys like Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, Freddie King, Chuck Berry and so many more set the standard that many later acts patterned themselves after. The early bands of the British Invasion (60's - 70's) were mostly big when I was "trying" to grow up. One of the best shows ever for us was Ray Charles a few months before he died. He was a true entertainer. Pearl Jam also took on Ticketmaster over them robbing people on ticket prices. We used to pay around $5 for a concert and people now pay in the hundreds and even more. For the big acts like Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, U2 etc some people pay several thousand for a ticket. That's just not realistic to me, but if you've got the cash I guess it's ok. Some spend $50,000 per ticket for choice Super Bowl seats or a half million for a stadium suite, so it's all relative I guess. Pearl Jam singer Ed Vetter was also very active in getting justice for the West Memphis Three. Thanks for sharing.

CWO3 (Join to see) Outstanding! You Need to pick up a Gig Writing on the side for Rolling Stones, Maybe the Military Section and if there isn't One You need to create one. I'm a retired Navy Spook and a Late Comer to the Grunge Scene but being My Children and Grandchildren and My Last Couple of Cruises were Part of that Scene there is No Denying My Own Connection to that World!

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Thanks but I'd guess anybody like what you mention has plenty of folks far more knowledgeable. I know nothing about the current scene and if they did have a section for old timers it would be very limited, because we are literally a dying breed. The old acts are dying off as well.
