Wasn't in long enough to attend Naval War College residential courses. I did spend a few days there as RAdm aide during a war-gaming exercise. I enjoyed it and learned how the "higher ups" plan regional operations. From the USCG point of view, PME allows close interaction with leaders from the other services. They need to be shown the right way to do things.

LTC Eric Udouj, the most senior military education for me was the C&GS Officer Course, and I perceived it as education and not training. I came away with a more global perspective which has affected how I think and perceive issues and actions to this day. I only wish I had been able to advance to the AWC where I'm sure my perspective would have become even more enlightened.
