Hard to believe a Nuc Officer, with all of his pay needed the extra money to get by. Wonder what motivated him to do this? He sure failed to consider what he was doing after being out of schools for 4 years and serving in the fleet. II agree with CW5 Jack Cardwell , not a good career move at all!

I’m shaking my head wondering what happened to the professional officer cadre (and enlisted) since my retirement in 1978.

Unfortunately Master Chief, there's always ONE. Today's military is definitely not the Armed Forces of old. They've lowered every standard Taken away every method of Discipline and have made the United States military a joke! I've had the Honor and Privilege of serving with some of the greatest men and women this country has ever birthed. Looking back, and comparing them to what I've encountered today. All I can say is this "I'm glad I retired when I did". Politics and War should Never be used in the same sentence. Lastly, where is the individual who came up with the "STOP CARD" that they use in bot or RTC's training. If I had told my drill instructor I needed to Stop during my training. That would have been my Last day in the military. Signing off. Salute CMDCM!

PO1 Lyndon Thomas - I was not only depressed reading this story, but there were 2 more drug related stories at the same time listed with it. Look, I know things have changed but seriously, do we really need to sell drugs as Sailors, Officer or Enlisted? It cannot be just for pay, because from entry level on up the pay is really good, so what is the reason?
