Wondering why it took so long to come up with a counter to the original storyline. It does take time to piece together a good story, granted, but many were more convinced by the perps humble statements of gratitude to POTUS for intervening on their behalf. Such after the fact exploration only feeds the Anti-Trumpers. This also appeared on Yahoo, which gives one pause to wonder..

As a Marine Capt, I expected more out of you. The truth, regardless of when it comes out is always important. We have a POTUS who has no problems with lying repeatedly to the country he is sworn to protect and uphold. All politicians lie, it's just who they are, but Trump does it with such abandon that it could be considered reckless. All of his lies, from little white lies to lies such as this only help in undermining any trust he has with the people who don't like him, and puts him further at odds with his base that does.

I have no problem accepting information that has been validated by more than one source, especially if it’s a couple that are minimally unbiased.
