Rushed to the Front: The Utterly Inadequate Training of the AEF

I remember learning about how unprepared we were to join WW1, as well as the Spanish American War….our geographic isolation for the time (not so much today) and prosperity made military spending seem unnecessary. We are doing it again…..we need another Reagan.
