With no evidence to support my thoughts, 236 seems high. In a FEB 17 fact sheet published by Service Women's Action Network, there were 30 qualified female Infantry/Armor officers and 32 more slated to begin that training. That was over a year and half ago and I could not find anything more recent. But I would have to assume there was a much smaller group of female Marine officers even going for it back then and cannot imagine it grew substantially. 40 seems more realistic but then again, this is all guesswork for me.

I've heard back door from a source that I do not entirely trust, that women in the Basic course who are considering IOC are being pre-screened while in TBS to ascertain if they have a shot of passing IOC. Then those who don't pass pre-screen aren't counted against the IOC women's graduation rate. If true, it is very Un-Marine to game the system.

I would think the graduation rate would only include those who started and completed. If they are screened out prior to attendance, that shouldn't count. But one of the issues that I have read is the small number of women interested in Infantry (both Army and Marine). So I think there are 3 metrics here: how many were interested, how many passed the pre-screen, and then how many completed the training.

As of April, 2018 only 12 have graduated. I would suspect that less than 60 have graduated by now.
