Self-Defense: Wealthy White Suburban Women v. Poor Black Urban Women

Here in Virginia, we're suffering through the political campaign season. The Democrat-Socialist Party's campaign has distilled itself down to three themes:

1. Republicans want to prohibit women from obtaining abortion. Nope. The Republican position is to allow abortion without limits up to 15 weeks, with exceptions thereafter for rape, incest and protecting the life of the mother. (By the way, if you do any research, you'll find that less than 3% of all abortion procedures are necessary to save the life of the mother.) But the Democrat-Socialists are screaming that ANY limit on abortion is an intolerable and "extreme" prohibition of that procedure.
2. Democrat-Socialists are the only ones who want to protect school children from mass shootings by "gun nuts." Nope. Conservatives want children to be safe everywhere. But limiting the freedom of law-abiding citizens under the guise of an "Assault Weapons Ban" (and they mostly cannot define an "assault weapon") or "Red Flag Laws" (used mainly by vindictive ex-spouses or unhappy ex-lovers) won't keep children safe at school or anywhere else. The real answer is to keep guns away from convicts and the mentally ill. But the Democrat-Socialists keep harping on the same things that Bill and Hillary Clinton frequently proposed in their failed gun-ban legislation.
3. It's time for government to "...make life more affordable for poor families...". And how is that supposed to happen? By shifting the already eccentric tax burden even more onto the middle and upper class and so-called "wealthy businesses" and then providing more government give-away's. The income tax is already unfairly distributed with the top 1% of wage earners paying over 50% of all income taxes collected. There isn't enough money in the world to do what the Democrat-Socialists want to do, which is to shift all taxes entirely onto the so-called "rich". The ultimate goal is that the majority of wage-earners will pay no taxes, ensuring they'll vote for the party that gives them government hand-out's. With some research you will find, by the way, that the Democrat-Socialist definition of "rich", as defined by income and total wealth, continues to move downward as time goes by. If you're not considered "rich" yet, be patient, according to the Democrats you soon will be.

As Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher aptly noted some years ago, "The trouble with Socialism is that sooner or later you run out of everyone else's money."

Can't we just all get along Brother Dale? With half the population armed, I think we better.
