Senate votes to scale back federal job preferences for veterans

Well, they're finally doing something about veterans affairs. It's just not what we had in mind, is it?

I can certainly say that my vet preference hasn't helped for squat so far with positions that I AM qualified for. Whatever they're smoking has to fall somewhere under Schedule I.

Edit: Well, I should caveat this by saying that I just interviewed for a VHA position. Trainee position, but a position all the same. I have been passed over for a number of other full appointment positions that I was qualified for.

Really, does that surprise you that the veterans are getting it again?? B O, H I C A ! ! ! ! !
