"Former Army UH-60 Blackhawk pilot and Senate Armed Services Committee member Tammy Duckworth told the Army's top official this week that she wanted to know who is responsible for the use of low-flying helicopters to suppress crowds of protesters in Washington, D.C.
The Democratic senator from Illinois also talked to Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy about "the need" to ban the Confederate Battle Flag from all Army installations after the Navy and the Marine Corps made similar moves in the wake of nationwide racial protests that followed the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died while in custody of Minneapolis police."

I'm on a couple of police lists SGT (Join to see) and I came across one article where the pilot said it was extremely dangerous to use tactics such as these, not only to the crowds but also to the crew. While I am not crazy about the Senators politics, she is one brave woman and doesn't back down echoing what PO1 William "Chip" Nagel said.

I agree! I don't always agree with her, but she gave up a whole lot for this country. Other than her Purple Heart, she has a Meritorious Service Medal. I don't know how you rate a Bronze Star nowadays. I see so many awarded for merit now. Why not her? SFC William Farrell I don't understand the awards system and never did.

SGT (Join to see) - Yeah thats interesting David. I figured she would have had at least a Bronze Star, and some Air Medals. One pic i see of her in uniform she has a Purple Heart, a MSM and is receiving another MSM. Bronze Star is the wartime equivalent of the MSM unless for valor. I was put in for a meritorious BS in Nam and would have received it had it not been for a drunken incident with an M16 and a 30 round mag! Walked away with an ARCOM instead! LOL
