Thank you, my friend PO1 William Bargar for posting the interesting news that China is "cancelling an order for more than 3,000 metric tons of pork from the U.S."
The United States Department of Agriculture says it's the biggest cancellation in more than a year — part of the ongoing trade dispute with China that has impacted many farmers."
When I saw wbur.org, I was reminded of Wilbur the pig from Charlotte's web. :-)
1. I recognize that China has alternatives for soy production which would concern the USA soybean producers in this nation.
2. I doubt that China could purchase 3,000 metric tons of pork from anywhere near unless Russia could supply it. Most of China's trad partners are Muslim in Iran, Hindu in India and Buddhist throughout southeast Asia.
