Horse nuggets...you know what the job entails and you know when you sign up that you will be sent where the Air Force sends you...period...something called the needs of the Air Force not the needs of the individual...when you sign up you relinquish certain rights and assignments are one of them...you simply go when and where you are needed. Gender surgery is OPTIONAL...not mandatory meaning you have to state you want it and there is no medical readiness reason to do it...when you do it you are now taken out of readiness and putinto a med hold until you "heal". Which mneans someone else is going to have to pick up your load...it is elective surgery, not required. If you can't perform your job anywhere and at anytime then IMHO, we don't need you. Not because you are trans but because you can't do what we asked and trained you to do.

Well, the progressives have done, or are doing, exactly what they said they would do. They are destroying our military from the inside out.
When you choose a less qualified leader over a more qualified one because of how the laws of the state they may be stationed in, you are doing both leaders a disservice and you are degrading unit readiness Congratulations to the president, Secretary of Defense, the Joint Chiefs, and the Services Chiefs and Commandant. You have, or are, ensuring we will be much less effective in future wars. Effin' POS's all.

Had to redeploy a soldier from the box because his family could not take the deployment separation and anxiety; she was wildly out of control, and headed down a self-hurt route for the her and kids. The soldier was a senior leader and his loss affected the readiness and capability of the organization -- Seems like this space force situation would require a family care plan to mitigate known circumstances or EFMP considerations which would make the soldier ineligible for position and no longer the best choice. Always choose the best qualified personnel for your organization as that is the least the team you lead deserves.

LTC Trent Klug I don't know the book answer as I've been out a minute. That said, if your family member started a program that required medical followup and that care isn't available at the gaining unit, I would encourage enrollment into the program.
