Above comments on selecting Dec 25 for the birth of Christ are not agreed to by the Roman Catholic church.

Interesting information. I hope it is correct. I have never read, or seen that.
Do you think the Pope changing the Sabbath to Sunday is related to Sun worship and does the Universal Church have the power to change the Sabbath? I'm just curious what you think on the subject. I'm not trying to start a conflict.

There are two reverent days; Sabbath and the Lord's Day. Catholics celebrate the Lord's Day.

It's a belief, not science. It's... It's tradition

I was made to watch this movie when I was very young. I thought it was a long movie. But, I enjoyed the music.

The question of Christmas/Saturnalia is best understood in the context of Pope Gregory the Great, who gave instructions to his missionary Augustine; do not destroy the pagan temples, but rather consecrate them, and turn all the customs of the native pagan religion to a Christian purpose, so that what is new to them remains familiar.

I have read that in the past. I am not confident that should have occured. Thank you for the post.
