I still remember as a 2LT running my first range in Germany and it was a .45 Pistol range( my Artillery BN hadn't been issued 9mm pistol ). Having never qualified with one by that time I completely listened to my NCOs and it ran smooth for all the Battalion Staff and Commanders!
