TAIPEI, Taiwan — Taiwan’s Navy mistakenly fired a supersonic Hsiung Feng III (Brave Wind) anti-ship missile, with a live warhead, striking a Taiwanese fishing boat and killing the captain.
Three others were injured from the missile's collision, which was launched from a 500-ton Ching Chiang-class guided-missile patrol vessel during a missile exercise in Zuoying naval port in the southern city of Kaohsiung.

"A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at the office !" Guess we can't use that one anymore....All joking aside, their lucky they are not all dead. Dam shame about the Captain.

That is a horrible day out fishing. Glad I never had to worry about someone shooting me with a Harpoon ship to ship missile when I was out fishing.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, That would be my worst nightmare while I'm out fishing. How do you accidentally fire off a missle at a fishing boat. Why were they out in fishing waters? It takes all kinds to make up this world we live in.
