Happy Thanksgiving to all Rally Point Canadian friends and family members. In Canada, Thanksgiving occurs on the second Monday in October, which celebrates the harvest and other blessings of the past year. My ancestors left Canada about 400 years ago and settled in New Amsterdam. I now only have one known family member that is a Canadian citizen. My grandson, Tyler Pryor - Eh.

Here's some trivia-- how Canada got its name. They put all the letters of the alphabet in a bag and started pulling out letters one at a time until they came up with a usable name. The first letter was pulled out and the person drawing out the letters proclaimed for all the hear, "C, eh. Then, "N - eh," followed by "D -eh."
The American writing this all down stopped them at that point and said, "Oh, Canada." That's how they came up with names for the country and their national anthem at the same time. Would I lie?
