In 1865 or so Prussia was at war with the Austro Hungarian Empire. Leichtenstien went to the assistance of their Austrian Allies mobilizing all 80 of its military aged males marched off to war.
When they got there the pass was snowed in for the winter. They marched back and on arriving realized they had come back with 81 men. Somewhere along the line they had picked up an Austrian straggler. I wonder if they had a campaign medal
