LTC Eric Udouj one would think they would've built a compound for this some time ago, knowing full well when GWoT started full swing, that there would be a LOT of door-to-door stuff. I know that folks have been bringing lessons learned back & it is integrated w/in that group, but how has this not been Military-wide at this point?
I can agree w/ the creation of a unit that specializes in this, just as the AF has created a unit that specializes in Outbound Security for aircraft. This unit has gained enough acclaim that the other branches are coming to its schoolhouse to get that training. The same thing could be done here. Hell, it could even be a joint venture between the USA & USMC, since they are our ground-pounders!

I am sorry, but this guy's research and information is flawed. I am Navy and we train our Mobile Security teams in basic MOUT facility training centers. The main one very unit in the Army and any branch can use. The location is Joint Training Facility Camp Shelby MISS and it meets everything he stated. The facility has everything, and is controlled by electric monitors, and they can control Air, windows, Doors and anything you can think of. The Marines have same type facility in North Carolina. Photo is Camp Shelby MOUT. There is also a Joint Facility at Joint Base Ventura County, CA,

Knox used to have one of the most modern urban warfare sites around, not sure how much it gets used now. But you would think they would build on that site.
