Thank YOU, LORD for YOUR love, care for each of us. Thank YOU for the beauty of creation which surrounds us. Too many people desire to be lauded and admired for temporal power, wealth and/or beauty. YOU desire us to be childlike and appreciative of the beauty that is all around us including personal relationships. 'At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Remember the admonition of the LORD as far as prayer and righteousness. We are not righteous by nature, yet God imputes righteousness to us by HIS grace. I pray for the gift of faith and discerning the spirits daily. ‘Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again, and heaven gave rain, and the earth bore its fruit. [James 5:13-18 ESV]
Thankfully the future is in YOUR hands for us individually and corporately. YOU work all things to good for the body of Christ corporately and us individually. YOU endured more pain on the cross, than the cumulative pain of all humanity. YOUR demonstration of love through the atonement is the most magnificent event for humanity. 'And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.' [Romans 8:28-30 ESV]
