Take a few moments to listen to the words of this video by Trace Adkins - Arlington

https://youtu.be/rJO7lJIxG10

“May you take a moment of silence this Memorial Day to honor and remember all the men and women who rest in peace in those hallowed grounds across America today; may you remain positive and resilient to overcome all the hardships we face today across the nation as we show our respect; and may you keep yourself and your family strong, safe, and healthy as we remember those that we’ve folded the flag for on this Memorial Day!” COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs

I expect that since this is Memorial Day 2020, the LORD brought to mind memories of family members, friends, comrades in arms who have passed on. I expect you have grieved over the years for those who have died, and I pray that your grief has been completed Mikel.
I pray that you and I grieve to completion and that we help others to fully grieve at their loss, my brother-in-Christ COL Mikel J. Burroughs.

I pray LORD that YOU bless each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads this prayer wonderful memories of the times we spent with those who passed on. Enable each one to be comforted as we ponder the dead and what they mean to us. Help us to remember that YOU are absolutely just and merciful.
Thank YOU, LORD for the grieving process. YOU enable us to shed pain, anger, and mistakes as we grieve. Similar to boiling off water what remains are memories free from pain, anger, and real or imagined guilt.
I lift YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are mourning for the death of friends and family members. I pray that YOU bless each one with an ability to grieve fully so that they remember the good and bad times without pain, and YOU bless them with joyful memories.
I pray that each one of YOUR adopted children and their loved ones slept well Monday night.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ.

COL Mikel Burroughs good read/share: for the Colonel's Motivational Quotes of the Day. Where the mighty American Bald Eagles roam in the mighty ROCKY MOUNTAINS OF CASTLE ROCK, COLORADO AMONG THEIR EAGLES-NEST. I know the view must be MAGNIFICENT on this day May 25, 2020 as you might glance upon the mighty snow capped mountains headed into the month of June. As you know I would respond a lot throughout the week, but I am full-time DOD employee doing contracts for the Defense Contract Management Agency. It is good to have sometime on Memorial Day before I start my running around to respond my friend.

(IT'S OK TO CRY) WAR-DEATH OF A FELLOW COMRADE-IN-ARMS WILL CHANGE YOU FOR LIFE-TRUST ME!

Today's theme is “Honor & Remembrance Day!” With RESPECTS TO THE FALLEN, GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN OF THE ARMED FORCES WHOM DIED WHILE SERVING THEIR COUNTRY.
As an Iraqi/Afghanistan WAR COMBAT VETERAN, I LOST MY BEST FRIEND ON MAY 24, 2004, succumbing to his injuries of an Mortar Attack in Mosul, Iraq-the late SFC RANDY DUANE COLLINS. Their are many more I led, served with and know whom paid the ultimate sacrifice. I GIVE GOD THE GLORY AND HONOR for their Service to Country in all wars/conflicts.

Good morning! Memorial day is truly a day to remember those great people that sacrificed their lives so we can remain free! Over the summer I went to Belgium and the celebrate the United States Military everyday! It was amazing to see how others view those that paid the ultimate price! Have a great day everyone and thank you!
