Good morning Col Burroughs on this Friday after Thanksgiving. May we all remember everyone deployed who didn't get to enjoy a holiday with their families in whatever fashion it was celebrated this year.
Signs are everywhere around us. Some we follow, some we ignore, some we laugh at and others seem to just confuse us. They are intended to be a form of communication of important ideas but often they don't achieve that because the intended receivers are either not open to the message, they don't understand it or the reject it. Paying attention to signs both actual and behavioral is a form of mindfulness. Be aware of your attitude and choices and make them deliberate.
Signs are everywhere around us. Some we follow, some we ignore, some we laugh at and others seem to just confuse us. LORD God, I lift each of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who are distracted from their God-ordained purpose in life, those who are more focused on their preferences much more than seeking YOUR will for their life, and those who support suicide including physician assisted and induced abortion. I pray that YOU open their eyes, their ears and rejuvenate their heart to be sensitive to YOUR guidance. Soft the hardening hearts and enable them to repent and seek rejuvenated fellowship with YOU. ‘Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.’ [Psalm 51:9-11 ESV]
I pray LORD that YOU do what it takes to shake up the WOKE, prune the faithful from those caught up in the misnamed word of faith movement, draw as many as YOU are willing to save from Antifa, BLM, other radical left and any radical right groups. ‘The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. [Matthew 13:39b – 43 ESV]
