The Dodge Challenger is king of the American muscle cars ... for now

Wow, a year ago the Dodge Challenger beat the Chevy Camaro and only the Ford Mustang was selling better.
When I was in high school, the Pontiac Trans Am was the best selling car, it seemed, in California. Now, you find very few of them but none of them can even get 21 miles per gallon in the city or 30 miles per gallon on the highway like the V6 version can and even the Hellcat can do 20 miles per gallon on the highway and run 11 second quarter mile at the drag strip!
I am grateful to own a 2015 Dodge Challenger SXT Plus which is a V6 version with the RT trim! 305 horsepower is enough for me and yet I can get 30.5 miles per gallon if I drive long distances. You can still do a high 14 second quarter mile which is unbelievable for a V6 and do 0 to 60 in 7 Seconds. You can also have enough room for five adult family members comfortably. It may be four hundred pounds heavier than the Camaro or the Mustang but at least it has a decent trunk and plenty of legroom for people sitting in the back.

I'm averaging 23mpg with my 455hp, 6.2l Camaro. That's not too bad considering how I drive it! LOL

Yes, that's what Jay Leno said about the Hellcat. You could get 20 miles per gallon if you drove it easy.

Last spring, I was on orders at that put me at Fort Sam Houston for a couple of weeks then 3 weeks in Canada as an observer controller trainer then two weeks back in Fort Sam Houston again to finish up on my evaluations of the client units. I paid $8 a day extra for a Dodge Challenger over and above what the government allotment was. On the weekend before I went back to Canada, I want to see the USS Texas South of Houston. It was about a 3-hour drive in 90 degree weather doing 70 miles per hour in my vanishing point look-alike white 2018 Challenger V6 base model rental car. So I can attest to a V6 305 horsepower 4000 pound car can get over 30 miles per gallon at 70 miles per hour!

I own a 66 Mustang. I also had a 5.0 rental car Mustang a year ago. Every once in awhile, I get free upgrades by being in uniform. The 5.0 is extremely fast! I was too self-conscious even though it was white.
All cars are great and I'm sure that your 5.0 is excellent! I like how you can change the colours of the dash interior lights into any number of combinations. I also like how the Mustang named illuminates when you open the side door to get out of the car at night.
