Wait... this is not from "The Onion" it's from Popular Mechanics on the Air Force's newest fighter jet the F-35 Lightning II. The new F35 cannot fly within 25 miles of get this.... "Lightning". This is no joke & proves the F35 is deficient in many areas as designed. It should have remained a prototype, until more of the bugs had been worked out instead of going into Full Rate Production (FRP) in my opinion. Sure the Army's had it's share of mishaps in Acquisitions... but since the Air Force fields so many more major Weapons Programs- they get the majority of coverage in the media for their errors in fielding new technology.
