Good news for our veterans and service members. The House is scheduled to vote on legislation changing the GI Bill to lifetime entitlement, instead of the current 15 years. When i was in it was 10 years as well... a BIG factor in my decision to take the discharge.

Sgt Wayne Wood problem I had after I got back from Vietnam and off active duty I was drinking too much to put any serious effort into college although I did manage to get a year in under the Bill. Unfortunately I wound up paying for most f my degree and graduate study. If I had only known the things I know today when I was 21!

I had the choice... i knew my career in the Military was over after a year in Oak Knoll NRMC... i needed college or i'd be on the street, unemployed, and with no skills. The GI Bill saved my life...
