What I would like to see is a ranking of the states by an estimate of illegal guns.

SFC Casey O'Mally - I am willing to bet Chicago, New York City and Baltimore Maryland will top the list of illegal weapons counts.

SSG (Join to see) no, see, according to the pols who run those cities, those are all legal guns pouring in from surrounding areas. There are no illegal guns in Chicago, just legal guns from Indiana that have been brought in for murders...

Its actually writen to support a misleadin dichotomy.
1. "Firearm Ownership Rate" is not the same as "Total Number of Guns".
2. The gun control bias of the article is shown in the grading system, "A (strongest) to F (weakest)".
3. The RAND Corporation's data used is now 8 years out-of date. Why not use data for 1864?
4. And the FBI data shows a 64% increase in pistols and long rifle sales in 2020 with 2021 and 2022 being slightly (61% and 59%) lower, based aginst the previous years sales.
5. This is the way it rolls out 2019 base gun sales (BGS)+64% increase, then 2020 BGS+61% and then 2021 BGS+59%.

Yup I was gonna say it's clearly biased per the sources used for those calculations and scores. At least they listed their sources though.
CDC or FBI. Doesn't really matter as actual murder by firearms and self defense incidents are all wrapped into the same statistic, and both orgs fail to differentiate between the two (I can understand not counting cases that are open, but closed cases should be distinctly labeled).

SGT Aaron Atwood - IMO all those "numbers" forget to add all the street guns where they don't pay taxes. The movies always show AK47 and rocket launchers but the true amount of guns flowing into our country dai;y (nor that I mind) alongside the drugs would sink a super cargoship.

I'm sorry, and I don't mean to offend anyone's profession, but getting any kind of a grade from Gifford's would be like the school custodian grading student's test papers.

My state proudly had and F rating before we passed constitutional carry -- I wonder if we can get the first F-
