Thanks for reminding us that in 1969 South Vietnamese President Nguyen Van Thieu, concluding a four-day visit to South Korea, told waiting reporters at a news conference that he would “never” agree to a coalition government with the National Liberation Front (NLF).

SP5 Mark Kuzinski Thanks for the historical updates - this is one country we just couldn't save from communism, because the American people weren't behind and we didn't have the all volunteer Army and Services we have today! Do you think we could have saved them with today's Army and today's society (or) would we have avoided Vietnam altogether? What are your thoughts on that Mark?

We could have done it at the time we were there but as usual, politics get in the way of winning a war. Could we today - Yes, with the fine military we have today - but again, politics wound get in the way. The effect of our political rules seem only to effect how we wage war - Our enemies don't play by our rules. In Nam we felt that we had a strong moral obligation to help a country share a democrat way of life that they wanted. Let's finish this conversation when you visit as I could go on and on. Thanks Mikel.

I've watched several interviews with the man. Interesting Gentleman. In Interviews were when he was still bitter with the US for Deserting Him.

SP5 Mark Kuzinski - The dynamics of the Vietnam War I find very interesting on many levels. The Writers of the North Vietnamese Constitution were Jeffersonian and you can read a lot of US Influence in that Document. Religious Influences the Buddhists really didn't support the Corrupt Catholic Government of South Vietnam. During WWII we were actually working with the North Vietnamese. Strange how it all played out. We took over the War from the French to fight the "Communist Horde".
