The US Army has selected a home for it's new 4-Star Army Futures Command Headquarters (HQ). It will be stood up in Austin, TX amid a bustling urban and academic area in Central Texas. The Army specifically chose Austin because it was not on an Army base, but located amid a diverse, technically savvy population. The HQ location, will not be the only members of the Command- other Army locations and offices will likely be brought in under the Future's Command umbrella.

Interesting selection. It's a much more liberal part of Texas. Will be interesting to see how this works out.
