Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on June 23, 1972 Title IX of the education amendments of 1972 was enacted into law. "Title IX prohibits federally funded educational institutions from discriminating against students or employees based on" GENDER not sex as you stated. In the previous administration there were efforts to force an expansion of Title IX to whatever sexual preference proclivity anybody could think of.

As with all good intentioned govt. programs this one too was twisted and mutilated to achieve some ideological goal. It is very admirable that the law opened up the doors for many female atheletes. Not so much for boys competing in girls sports or boys using girls locker rooms. Just my humble opinion.
