Thanks for reminding us SP5 Mark Kuzinski that 46 years ago tomorrow U.S. ground combat troops ended two months of operations in Cambodia and returned to South Vietnam.
The plan to launch a limited “incursion” into Cambodia to clear North Vietnamese sanctuaries 20 miles inside the Cambodian border was ambitious and risky for international reasons. thankfully the Cambodian government was not opposed at the time.

I remember reading Keith Nolan's "Into Cambodia" in the 80s. The book is a worthwhile read but Nolan seemed to be seeking the ultimate battle in which the US would prevail over the NVA. I also wrote a critique of his "House to House." Nolan published quite a few books about the Vietnam war. Most were basically decent but the war winning military victory Nolan sought remained elusive.
