U.S. hopes to have border wall finished within two years: official - One America News Network

I saw some discussion in news outlets about this subject and waited until I saw a news article to post it. I hope that the southern border wall is indeed finished within two years under budget with Mexico contributing to the funded cost.
Hopefully this "wall" will be defense in depth with monitoring in place, mobile and airborne response teams and other assets required. Unlike the Maginot Line which provided a false sense of security to France until 1940. I expect tis end to end system will help us maintain the security of our southern border.

"We are in the middle of a crisis on our southern border: The unprecedented surge of illegal migrants from Central American is harming both Mexico and the United States," Trump said in remarks at the Department of Homeland of Security after signing the directives. "And I believe the steps we will take starting right now will improve the safety in both of our countries," Trump said, adding: "A nation without borders is not a nation." WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said on Thursday he hoped to have a wall along the southern U.S. border with Mexico finished within two years, according to an interview with Fox News.
“The wall will be built where it’s needed first, and then it will be filled in. That’s the way I look at it,” Kelly said in the interview. “I really hope to have it done within the next two years.” He added he thought funding from Congress for the massive project would come “relatively quickly.”

They can use Military Engineers like they did in 2007-2009 after building was approved in 2006. They stopped in 2009 guess who became POTUS. These are photos of the wall being built.

When the wall is done, maybe they will take down these signs and clean up this environmental nightmare.

To be honest, the travel warning to the ball area will probably need to be maintained MSgt James Mullis. I do not expect this will be anything like the Berlin Wall for many years ago where approach meant death. That wall kept people in. This is designed to keep people away from sneaking in.
I don't expect a free-fire zone would be erected for rubber bullets; however, no unauthorized person should be approaching this border-walled area from either side.
