PO1 William "Chip" Nagel I understand. I saw a bogie in Iraq in the summer of 2005 in Kirkuk and since I did not have binos available to see my sighting at 1800 on a sunny afternoon, I will never know if my bogie was explainable or not. No contrail.was visible on my sighting.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel you had justification, I was just walking back from an MWR phone kiosk going back to my HQ when I saw the bogie. It could have been a commercial or military aircraft flying in and out of high level cirrus clouds. If I had 10x binos I could have had my answer.
