I read hear and their about it in old world text book encyclopedias that my grandparents had. Needless to say I was being polished and educated by my grandmother while my mom was at work. Can't say I really obsorbed everything, more or less just pretended to read lol... but I do remember some things. And there was a few mentions of the wars over Iceland.

Marines were there from 1941 to 1942 to prevent the Germans from being able to operate unabated against the convoys from the US.
