Who does these PSAs? It's the same stylistic crap they did when they were trying to convince Republican members of the electoral college not to vote for Trump, except this time the people speaking didn't have a white background. This video is exactly as persuasive as the others -- not at all. The only thing this video proves is that veterans have differing opinions. In this case, the topic is guns.

Sadly, those veterans are misinformed about the purpose of the Second Amendment of the Constitution. It specifically protects militia-style weapons, since according to the text, a militia is necessary for the security of a free state. It turns out at least one of them is misinformed about AR-15's as well, because they are not exactly the same as an M-4 or M-16. Similar, yes, but not the same.

In the end, it's just a reasonably we produced video of a handful of people and their opinions, their opinions, their opinions about AR-15's. And there's NOTHING that makes their opinions any more valid than mine.

Capt Dwayne Conyers, Cpl Tom Surdi - Nothing either one of you just said is an argument against civilians owning AR-15s. And nothing either one of you said refutes the intent of the Second Amendment.

SSgt Christopher Brose - And nothing either of them said has any point whatsoever... Sorry Gentlemen. I call em as I see em.
My musket comes with 30 preloaded rounds to a stick, They fire one at a time.
Carefully aimed they will hit thirty different places. None will be ineffective.
I have no conceivable need for this many rounds however, I will use every one of them against those who come to relieve me of my rights, or my property, or the ones I hold dear. I’m not a fast shooter but I don’t miss.

Cpl Tom Surdi - I think some of us have more than just the AR-15.

Cpl Tom Surdi - That is the same thinking that had the British getting their asses kicked by a lightly armed and maneuverable militia and continental army. The British were the most formidable Army and Navy in the world and they lost to an upstart colony that had the nerve to declare independence from the throne.

They lost because the citizenry were armed and could come together to repel boarders and fight back. Had they been unarmed all would have been lost and the "rebellion" squashed in short order.

The notion that the entire armed forces would follow orders to attack the citizenry (their family and friends) is absurd. The oath we all take is to the Constitution and not the government and to follow unlawful orders to attack American citizens.

That doesn't mean that some units might have idiot commanders that would put national guardsman in the streets to kill Americans. If they did, they would have armed Americans fighting back. Read the Declaration of Independence where it talks about shedding a new tyranny that might develop by our own government. They knew what too many today think is impossible.

Maybe I am listening to this wrong but in my humble opinion this commercial makes our military look kind of ignorant - I say this because they keep suggesting that the "AR" stands for Assault Rifle when in actuality it stands for Armalite Rifle as they are the original designers for the concept of this rifle.

Are our military personnel so un-educated and ignorant about weapons now a days that they don't know this simple fact?
