A veteran was beaten by federal officers with batons during demonstrations outside the Federal Courthouse and Justice Center in downtown Portland on Saturday...
I don't know all the facts, but will say beating peaceful protesters seems wrong on many levels. Batons and rubber bullets can cause serious injuries.

And yet no mention of the destruction, violence and assaults perpetuated by some of the so-called protestors? Why is that? US citizens have the right to "peaceable assembly" which is not being harmed; not to destroy property and harm other individuals through violence.
