First lines of the article say everything you need to know, MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. "Let me begin by making this point as clearly as possible. There is absolutely nothing worse for the combat effectiveness of a military, than attempting to use recruiting as a social engineering program."

The government is closer and closer to dividing us along race lines. A retired LTC friend of mine says all the time that Obama put race relations back 60 years and I believe he is correct. I will be honest I do not think a new woke military is keeping numbers down and whether it is sleeping in a hole you dig or watching someone promoted base on race or gender, the military still has days that suck and still provides great experience and training to retire young. I am not too worried about 'woke' affecting my son if he joins because that experience, training, and retirement goal is about him and not someone's agenda.

We're I 22 year old me now, I may still join the Marine Corps. The almost 27 year old me would not reenlist in today's Army. I would starve before ever signing up.

It was hard enough coming together in 1980's service era, what with all the different backgrounds. Now you have to overcome that, and the animus created by the CRT in the military.
