Why Does the Second Amendment Only Apply to “Law-Abiding” Gun Owners?

I'd have to say it's because the Constitution only covers Citizens of these United States. Until a resident Alien completes the requirements for Citizenship, they have some protection under the Law, but the full Power of the Constitution, is not granted to them.

I agree that this is an issue the Supremes need to clarify. Why would an undocumented/illegal alien have the right to bear arms, they are not here legally IMHO.

That would depend on your view of "rights" -- are YOUR rights something that the government grants you (and therefore can take away at will) or are there some "inalienable" rights that are "endowed by their Creator"
Are perhaps some rights granted by the government and other rights endowed by the Creator. If so, where does the right to self-defense fit?
The founders certainly saw "life" as one of the inalienable rights endowed by their Creator (they said so clearly in the Declaration of Independence).
If "life" is an inalienable right, does that include the right to defend your life? Does the right to defend your life include a right to have the means to do so or is it just a hollow platitude?

MSG Thomas Currie a convicted felon is not allowed to have a firearm, why would someone who is in this country illegally be afforded more rights than a felon? In my opinion one who has illegally crossed the border is in effect a felon.
