Amazing how with all of the social media and news that tells people how these people are treated and killed, there are still people that want to go over there and be sucked into this lunacy.

LTC Stephen F. The interesting part to me is not about the two teens who wanted to run away to Syria to join a terrorist organization or even that they were stopped from doing harm to themselves. The video attached and the man pictured here is Nicholas Henin, a former ISIL hostage. He describes that his experience as a captive is different than the image that the media displays about what ISIL is. He says he was held captive by Western Jihadist who rarely spoke Arabic, the primary languages used were English and French. He said he was a in a "group of western hostages held captive by western jihadi". He goes on to say that as long as Assad is in power in Syria ISIL will not be defeated because Assad is a recruiter for ISIL. This is definitely an interesting interview to watch.

Capt Walter Miller
They think they are going to be around a lot of macho, dedicated and religious young men.
