I am sure that many of you have seen multiple video segments of the return of the American Astronauts in their SpaceX Dragon Capsule... I highly recommend that this be watched FULL SCREEN on the Largest Screen available to you...
This particular video takes you from the four Chute suspended Capsule to splash down and then shows the capsule being transported into the pick up craft and then the capsule opening and the astronauts egressing from the capsule... I am sure there will be more footage in the days to come... It was amazing how scorched the external capsule was from the re-entry heat... The first ocean landing since 1975!!!
Enjoy!

Sgt (Join to see) - It's definitely far more automated and sophisticated than the old days.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter - Seems like it took forever to vent the capsule so they could open the hatch.

My Wife was watching a lot of that on Television and I looked along and caught most of it. It was pretty amazing to watch. You can see how in a relatively short period of time how far the technology has come.

Technology has been there since the 60s, it's just that private companies are now doing it instead of NASA.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Yes, the landing and recovery in the ocean brought us back about 45 years. The interior of the capsule however the technology advances were apparent.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter; Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Yes, but they still had to put away their tray tables and bring their seats to the upright position before entry into Earth's atmosphere. And we thank you for choosing SpaceX as your airline carrier for this trip. We hope you recommend us to all of your friends and family for your next adventure.
