Awesome photo. I've had the pleasure of watching bald and golden eagles do this on the Clark Fork River here in Montana. Really cool to watch.

When I was on Adak, Alaska, I had so many Eagle experiences that I have not been able to replicate in the lower 50 states. It seemed as if I lived in an eagle sanctuary on Adak.

I was at my old mans about 7 years ago out on his back deck. A bald eagle came swooping in and landed right on the railing. That bird was huge. This was the only time I have ever seen one up close in person. It sat there for about a 2 seconds before it flew away and I swear the wing span must have been 6 feet. I was in awe.

I don't doubt that a bit Stewart. The female is normally bigger and darker than the male, but you really wouldn't be able to tell unless you see the pair together. We are extremely blessed to have quite few breeding pairs here in our area and that's both bald and golden.

Nature, even when she is cruel...is beautiful. Whoever took these pictures has an amazing eye. But sadly, I am on the side of the poor things about to meet their doom.

Typically I am too, btu there are few exceptions, such as poisonous snakes and other such critters.
