1962 Ford Galaxie 500 Is an Unassuming Sleeper With a Holman-Moody Secret

My father owned a 1965 2-door Ford custom 500. The Ford Custom and the Ford Custom 500 were the bottom two trim lines below the Galaxy and the Galaxy 500.
My father's car just had an inline 6/240 cubic inch gutless wonder.
In 1965 they would have offered the 289, 352, 390 and 427 V8s.
In high school. I remember reading the Ford owner's manual.
The Police Interceptor 390 and the 427 V8 Engines only had a 90-day 3k mile warranty on these high-performance engines. I'm sure the same thing applied to the 1962 model with the 406 V8.

I saw a couple of this Ford Galaxie on one Old car fair in San Juan years ago. Beautiful and impress car Sir. Gracias por compartir

When I was in college I had a Ford Galaxy 500. It was a part car nicked named the “intergalactic Galaxy”

That's a mighty big engine in a small package. Kinda like putting a SR71 engine on a Pipers Cub.
