Thank you for alerting us, my friend SSG(P) (Join to see). I expect this is disconcerting to some and a relief to the end of court battles for most.
Bottom Line:
1. Service members who are currently serving who have gone through gender reassignment surgery and are stable will be allowed to continue to serve.
2. Service members who are experiencing "gender dysphoria" and can function without "requiring" gender reassignment will be allowed to stay. From psychology today "Gender dysphoria (formerly gender identity disorder) is defined by strong, persistent feelings of identification with the opposite gender and discomfort with one's own assigned sex that results in significant distress or impairment."
3. The military services will not be able to recruit people experiencing "gender dysphoria."
4. The military will be able to recruit stable transgender people.

"On Tuesday, [March 26, 2019] the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit removed the last of four court injunctions lower federal courts had issued on the new policy, which had until today kept the Defense Department from prohibiting forces from serving who experience gender dysphoria, which is a discomfort with one’s biological sex. Transgender personnel who are willing to serve according to their biological sex, or who have already completed their transition to their preferred sex and are stable would be allowed to remain in the military."
DoD had previously announced it would move forward with its new policy, but retracted that when it became clear the final injunction was still in place.
With Tuesday’s decision and removal of that last injunction, “at the moment, there is no legal barrier to the government’s intended plan to start enforcing the ban on April 12,” said Perry Sacks, a spokesman for the various attorneys representing transgender clients.
Shannon Minter, an attorney for the National Center for Lesbian Rights who represented clients in two of the four federal lawsuits, said they still have until Friday to seek a rehearing on this issue, but that rehearing request has no significance now that the final injunction has been lifted."

Once you meet transgender people either serving or who have served in the different branches it is really difficult to dismiss the quality, integrity, and valor of their service. Removing loyal citizens from the services because one man who never served wishes to appeal to darkest and most reprehensible motivations of his "base" is despicable.
My Very Kindest & Warmest Regards, Sandy :)

I welcome all who want to server honorably and with dedication! I also don't want it to become a way for people getting free surgeries and then trying to leave the service immediately afterwards without finishing their tour on their contact! That being said to each their own. Just don't get mad if people use the wrong pronouns when addressing them! Enjoy your time in the service

Don't necessarily agree with it, but apparently it's the law we're sworn to defend.
