Thursday, April 26, 2018 - Motivational Quote of the Day! Good Morning Everyone!
Today is: "Camaraderie Day!" Why Not?
"Today I meet with Lt Col Charlie Brown in Castle Rock, CO & our bond as veterans & service members is a camaraderie greater than just "me or us"; it's respect for each other no matter what your political party, religion, or beliefs are. Let's Stand together!" — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs
The Quote in the Picture Today Reads: "Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." — Helen Keller
"We are not a team because we work together. We are a team because we trust, respect and care for each other." — Vala Afshar
"Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success." — Henry Ford
"People will help each other because there is a sense of camaraderie that springs up, which is a survival tactic. You help them because you know you might need their help later. And that is incredibly reassuring." — Amanda Ripley
"We developed a firm, practical feeling of solidarity, which grew, on the battlefield, into the best thing that the war produced - comradeship in arms." — Erich Maria Remarque
"What's in a life without Camaraderie? For setting sail on a ship with a band of merry brothers by your side is much more gratifying than drifting aimlessly on a boat lost alone at sea." — Saim .A. Cheeda
"Brotherhood is not just a Bible word. Out of comradeship can come and will come the happy life for all." — Heywood Broun

"Brotherhood is the very price and condition of man's survival." ~Carlos P Romulo
We who have served k ow this better than anyone. I feel an instant connection to those who served or are serving. I see every Vietnam veteran's hat as an elder brother and I try to greet them that way. We are the family that we were not gifted with at birth. I am proud to claim you on RP as my extended and extensive family.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs A PROFOUND MESSAGE. There are Rally Point brothers and sisters who are no longer active because of how they are torn down because their views (political, religious, other) don't match theirs. We can agree to disagree, but act like family, not sharks who smell blood. Rally Point is Family, not Enemy. I don't agree with anyone 100%, but have no hate for anyone. If you are out to verballydestroy ANY of my Rally Point family, you don't belong here. You all are kin, love you all.

Well, said Dave. Don't break a bond that has been developed over many wars and peacetime, becasue of petty crap. Keep it strong, turn the other cheek, be respectful and show the dignity that was instilled in all of us to your brothers and sisters here on RallyPoint. It's very easy really! Have a great day CPL Dave Hoover

CPL Dave Hoover, great post. Over my career, both military and civilian, I worked in many small OR Rooms. In each we had a diverse group of OR techs, Nurses, Anesthetists, and Physicians, but we tended to act more like family. Often, because of the on-call nature of our jobs we spent more time with one another than with our own families. We also bickered much like family, but we always managed to agree to disagree.
In an OR, virtually every topic know to man is discussed. Believe me, for each topic there were a myriad of opinions, as you would expect. Can you imagine a world where everyone has the same opinion and agrees on every subject? Boring! What I don't like is for people to flame one another on social media, just because it is anonymous. We are all family on RallyPoint, a family of Veterans. Let's all be mindful of this point.
