I don't know how to label this post. Maybe: "This made my day!"
So I went to Jersey Mike's as my Kathy and my oldest Daughter went out for a "Girls only lunch." I am in line waiting to order. The couple in front of me were at least my age (give or take a few years or wrinkles). The guy says in a loud voice:
"Give my girl your best most expensive sandwich. We are celebrating and I want it to be good."
The young people behind the counter all break out in big smiles. And there is a smattering of applause from the customers already seated. It was the middle of the lunch rush.
So the girl waiting on the older man says:
"And what are you two lovely people celebrating?"
And he said...with great pride:
"Today is our Third Date...and she has agreed to a Fourth Date. And if that isn't worth celebrating ...I don't know what is."
The woman was beat red, but beaming from ear to ear.
And the applause sounded like thunder.
He turned and took a little bow. She curtsied.
And my day was a little brighter.
