Birdhouse is great when you want to control movement of people. Skip those pellets off the pavement to see them skedaddle. I'd only have this loaded in my shotgun in an urban area as it will still make a good and pretty mess.
Double ought is for when you want to tell someone, or something, how much you dislike them. This is what I have loaded in my Mossberg right now. They are alternated with deer slug rounds.

My Winchester Defender stays loaded with 6 rounds of double-ought buck.

I was initially confused by the higher shot size number giving smaller shot
