This morning, all I hear on National Public Radio is about the poor 7-year-old Guatemalan girl who had seizures along with 105.7-degree temperature and who passed away from cardiac arrest.
Nancy Pelosi says that the wall is immoral. The border wall is put there to push migrants East to cross over open terrain to catch them or convince them to give it up. In the winter time, many freeze to death and some, like this poor girl, dehydrate and sometimes died from exposure. Her dad was responsible to bring her over the border and he should go to prison in Guatemala for child neglect. Alcoholics, immigrant rights advocates and politicians alike, don't want to admit their faults and they will blame the United States or other other people(but not the Father). Anyways, my story talks about something that may not be reported much in the media and United Nations turns a blind eye. It is Hezbollah trying to dig tunnels into Northern Israel so they could do what North Korea has been planning for decades in tunneling under the DMZ and attacking troops. Hezbollah was doing the same thing but on a smaller scale. I don't know if it makes the Western media because all our focus on is the Border wall, the seven-year-old Guatemalan girls or the incorrect things that President Trump may say.
If The 7-year-old Guatemalan Girl survived and were a legal resident of the US or Canada, the Father would have had the daughter taken away and put in foster care for neglect. I know the bleeding heart media is going to be front page news up on this. I am empathetic and my mother comes from Honduras but I know the media is trying to push the agenda that the wall needs to come down.
I say, concerning the border wall, that with 1.4 billion dollars that the Democrats have approved, towards the Air Force Red Horse Brigade, The Seabees from the US Navy and have the Marine Corps and Army Corps of Engineers and all their students to Camp Pendleton for staging for the Marines, and Fort Bliss for staging for the Army and help at least make the wall more difficult to cross. I know they put concertina wire and other forms of obstruction to slow them down. We also need to continue to be vigilant like the Israelis and continue with ground-penetrating radar because the drug lords have been tunneling all the time to get their Drugs North. We discover their tunnels all the time.

I'm not against the wall because it's "immoral" I'm against it because it's a colossal waste of taxpayer money. There are FAR more cost effective ways to improve border security.

PO2 Robert Aitchison Exactly what are those methods, other than a wall to slow or stop illegal immigration? Walls have been used for centuries to stop invading armies. I am sure they can stop unarmed illegal aliens.

Cpl Jeff N. - Electronic detection nets plus increased border patrol manning. Physical barriers make sense in urban areas but the vast majority of the border is in extremely remote locations with no civilization for dozens of miles in any direction.

The wall is the kind of idea a 12 year old might come up with if you asked them how to stop people from coming over.

The legal, practical, economic, and moral case against Trump's border barrier.

It's not an either-or situation. We are fully capable of using electronic detection nets and whatever else along with the wall, and I expect we will. The interesting thing about a wall is the tires never go flat, the suspension never breaks, the batteries never die, you don't have to clear the runway before using it, etc.
Walls are absolutely effective. It's a tried and true solution to the problem of invasions that has worked for millennia. That's the real reason people oppose it.

Imagine if we had honest journalism in America. Imagine the problems that would never have occurred...

So far, what do you think about the Canadian journalism that I have posted on Rally Point? As you know, this is a Canadian story written by a former Canadian ambassador to Israel.

Sadly I haven't paid attention sufficiently to form an opinion. I will try to do better in the future
