So, this is from the Daily Beast, and it infers that military veterans must be monitored. It brings up "the present and historical ties between American hate groups and armed servicemen and women....".

My own belief is that, because Veterans, Evangelical Christians, conservative Catholics, and mothers disagreeing with school boards tend to not vote the way that the staff of the Daily Beast would like, then they should be rounded up like the Gypsies and Jews in Germany in 1939 (too much of a threat to the New Order).

It seems that this article would classify George Washington as a "Radicalized Military Vet".

So, how do you see it?

This is just more of the poisonous rhetoric from the far left that seeks the destruction of everything American and everything that is free about this nation. An asinine suggestion that people so dedicated to defending the founding principals and articles of this country could be considered "a threat" to the country...well, maybe a threat to terrorist and traitorous entities within the far left as what they seek is dissolution of the constitutional rights, yes, I would state unequivocally we are a threat to enemies of the constitution. Don't be an enemy then there is no threat.

I'm in that spectrum: my oath hasn't expired nor have I been relieved of my allegiance thereto... AMERICA must survive, the extremists won't save HER so that responsibility falls to me and those who feel as I do that this AMERICA will survive if the grassroots stand for this last bastion of FREEDOM on Earth.

You are right. Also, those with the biggest mouths are the first to flee, when they have to defend their "values" with their own personal safety.

If you want to see Radicalized Military Vets...

Be sure to read far enough to note the names of the military heroes who routed the protestors.

PV2 Larry Sellnow - Well, just like everyone on the left you use name calling and emotion instead of facts.
IF, and I seriously doubt it, you have qualifiable facts or quantifiable data then spell it out. But The use of name calling, and personal attacks weakens rather than strengthens your position.

PV2 Larry Sellnow - Why does everything you have to say revolve around Trump? I voted for the man and I will vote for him again but he isn't living in my head rent free like you. I think you need psychological help and maybe some remedial grammar classes.

Sometimes what we think is true or we believe is true becomes fact. That is especially true on social media. Some will read something that has been stated on social media, and without any verification share it with good intentions, but only to find out it wasn't true, yet some who read it never learn that it wasn't true. I think that is something we all want to avoid.

We have individuals that were influenced to participate in J6 that were military veterans or currently in uniform. I would suggest that many of them would not have gone that way on most days. Some who were accused were found not guilty and some were found guilty, some with lesser charges and some for insurrection. Regardless of your view of J6 being good or bad, it was not a day that I think historians will view positively, but that is just MHO. I could be completely wrong.

The real reason I am writing this post is to share with those who are interested that there is a site I used to evaluate media outlets. It is MediaBiasFactCheck.com. Some of the media outlets will be just the opposite of what you might think would be true, and that is true on both the Left and Right. It will tell you a lot of things about their reporting, especially accuracy. I use it to help me determine who seems to be reporting accurately and who may not be accurate, or so biased that accuracy is secondary to the agenda, which we hear so much about.

I hope those who are interested will find this site to be of value. It has been for me, a person who has little to no interest in political parties, although I once did. I think I stopped having interest when I started paying close attention to what they did versus what they said. Save a few, very high profile subjects, I found they were not that much different on either side when it was all said and done. I clearly realize that many will disagree with that view. I respect every person's view, regardless of whether I can agree with it or not.

Sloppy statistics used to spin a narrative believed by ideologs. Of course it has nothing to do with veterans being Conservative in excess of a 2:1 ratio over Liberals. Of course it has nothing to do with Conservatives overwhelmingly supporting the Republican candidate. Nah.

Of course, you couldn't even get a story that had more recent information and used one from January 2021 instead of later. Understand you want to stick with left-leaning sources, so here's the article from CBS in December of 2021 (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/capitol-riot-january-6-military-ties/) discussing how 80 of the 700 had military background (that's at least closer to the updated DOJ figures of 950 as of Jan 2023) - that's 8.5% (reminder the census says the vet population is about 7%).

But thinking for yourself and looking deeper into information instead of believing what media shovels down your throat is hard to do or might disrupt your partisan beliefs. Gasp! Can't do that.

Ok let's look at other stats - Chicago police arrest stats show that 70% of the BLM rioters that were arrested for looting, arson, and violence between 29 and 31 May were Black.

By you and Gomez's reasoning ("obviously" and his agreement with you), then Blacks are more predisposed to violence. Personally I think that's a racist view, but hey, the Left can believe whatever idiotic thing they want.

I believe what this article points out.

"Charlie Sadoff’s documentary details how a collection of anti-government white-nationalist movements have increasingly gained traction inside our borders, often by strategically recruiting those committed to protecting the nation: law enforcement and military service members."

18 Chicago Cops Injured After BLM Rioters Pelt Them With Projectiles

"Mayor Lori Lightfoot put out a statement saying “...a portion of the protesters turned violent. A number of individuals came with frozen water bottles, rocks, bottles, cans and other gear to throw at officers. People in the crowd also threw fireworks and other incendiary devices at police, causing injury in several cases."
