All you photogenic military personnel out there in RP Land let’s have a little photo session just to lighten it up today! Share the first photograph or the earliest photograph of yourself when you entered the military and tell us the date of the photo.
I'll start with Private Burroughs in 1975 at Fort Leonard Wood, MO & end with Colonel Mikel in 2005!

How about as a Boy Scout in WWII Hated those short pants but they were the summer uniform of the day in the Boy Scouts, @ 70 years ago.

Ft Knox, they pulled us out of the field onto cattle cars. We were filthy. Took us to a small bldg (Not more gas?!?). Lined up, went in, had fake tie on Greens jackets put on, a **** cap, click click, hand it over and out the door. Anyone have that experience too? They said the photos were required to prove to parents we were still alive.

First picture of me in my US Navy uniform after boot camp and various schooling with my paternal grandfather (Pap) in Rayland, OH on October 1980. I was a Fireman Apprentice. Later that evening I flew out to meet my ship the USS Oldendorf DD-972 in Hobart, Tazmania.

Although it isn't his first. I believe that this was when he went to MP school. This is my dad SSG Charles Hudson he served in Korea/Vietnam I'm hoping to find people that served with him. If you recognize this goofball :) feel free to msg

Sharee L Marie Great photo of your Dad - My father served in Korea as well with the 25th Infantry Division. Thanks for sharing and thanks for his service - There are not many Korean Veterans on here now on RP. My Dad is turning 85 on May 12th. Here is at age 19

It took a little digging but as far as I know this is the first pic of my dad in uniform. He was only 17 (he may or may not have fibbed about his age to join the army) He was 75 when he passed. It's hard to believe that this bright eyed and bushy tailed lad was him lol!

COL Williams: That duty "white Hat" is what sold me on military police AIT.
I have been told MP's today do not wear the white hat while on duty as it was
retired by the Army. Excellent photo.
