Do you like the new RallyPoint answer category options?

Apparently RallyPoint just re-structured the answers drop down to show categories of discussion. They also removed the start a discussion option so you have to click the link at the top of the right hand column. When you post a new question you also must select a general category. What say you all?

The new Answers categories are intended to create some additional order, without creating unnecessary separation or limiting perspectives. We believe that the diversity of thought and discussion is one of RallyPoint's greatest strengths, and don't want to isolate people too much. On the other hand, we know that some people rather keep the business side and the fun side separate, so this allows for a bit of the best of both worlds.

I think that it is a good addition to the forum section sir. A lot of folks came up on the net to offer suggestions for better organization and search features within the forum section. I think that this upgrade caters to a lot of those suggestions. I am sure that this is only the initial crack at the discussion section. I bet that there will be much more to follow.

Absolutely 1SG Steven Stankovich. I think this is a great sign that RP is coming into its own and as you pointed out the administrators (unlike Congress) are listening to "we the people"

That's correct. The changes are not as drastic as some members would prefer, but there is also a silent minority (or silent majority) who prefer other formats as well. This is a step in the direction of greater organization, without causing too much disruption... hopefully...

Storms around here suck because they knock out my internet. (Satellite) Last nights storms did have one advantage, they kept me from going into thumbs debt for today. Had they not put me out of commission for so long, I would be in the same boat you are Major.

I think it will be an awesome addition and I'm sure it will make several people happy. I'll probably keep it on "All" but once I test it out more, who knows what Ill use.

It will make looking for discussions of interest to me a bit easier. Although I am a troll, and an opinionated one at that, I will still be looking for discussions of interest in all categories. PROGRESS!!!

I Loooooooooooooooooooove it! Makes it so much easier to find a particular topic and sort through posts that are older that I may have missed before.
