Here is an article that has infuriated me beyond comprehension. It is not the content but the actions of the individuals who perpetrated the act. Veterans we have a voice it is time we use it within our government. Do you fellow veterans realize that less than 15% of congress has served in the military. Do you want to know why our voices never get heard. Now the younger generations of this great nation are treating our veterans who have bled for this nation and in cases died for this nation with disrespect and distaste. An Oh what about the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff trivializing the losses of life and limb it took to secure Ramadi. It kills me when one of our own, the senior leader within the military, trivializes the losses our military have taken during the most recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. If that were done to Bastogne or Normandy there would have been serious repercussions. Here only a letter of apology to a mother who had the guts to stand up and say what was in her heart.

yeah my grandfather called my basic training Boy Scout camp. he went through basic training in 1930 something, I believe that's when the drill sergeants could beat the living crap out of you and leave you bleeding on the floor.

Sometimes, I miss the good old days...days when a story like this would have had a bunch of drunk frat boys get their asses handed to them by a bunch of scared and injured old men and when the police got there, the frat boys would have a bonding night in jail.

Yes, but someone let them change? I think too many people have become afraid to tell the truth and just stand up for what is right.

This is the entitled generation they go to school party. Then move home because they are to lazy to find a job any job. This Frat should be removed from both Universities and the students involved kicked out of school. They should also be given no government monies until they have shown proper remorse. Say volunteering at a hospital with many disabled Vets. We as a society must quit making excuses for them and start administering hard justice. Time for them to grow up.

I am so diappointed with today's college students. If I witnessed this I be needing to also make a phone call. I support freedom but this draws the line.

Camp Rudder is not far away from Panama City. Perhaps these young men would accept an invitation to drink some beers and have a rousing political discussion with the fine young soldiers who are in the home stretch for their Ranger tab.

I'd pay money to see that ....

Sounds like a solid write up and also accurate. She was the one in the wrong in that situation and should have been charged with attempted theft and resisting arrest.

Not that I can't find (with my own opinion) the protestors to be complete morons and disrespectful pricks...

Perhaps she misses the limelight.

It's disgusting, but it's symptomatic of America today. Not just for vets but for everyone - a total lack of respect.
